At Canal Connections we are fortunate to have Yvonne Roberts as an Artist in Residence. Yvonne has a passion for photography and the digital image and seeks to create images that provoke an element of intrigue either in
their pure photographic state or as the result of creative composite
processing.
During her residency, Yvonne will be creating a portfolio of work in response to the canal and its surrounding environment, exploring the creative impact of Light and Dark along a short stretch of
the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
Yvonne has already created a bank of exploratory and
reference based photographic material and has become intrigued by the
patterns overlaying the canal and the canal side as a result of the
bright sunlight shining through trees and shrubbery and bouncing off
boats and bridges, along with the decorative reflections of the sky and
the surroundings in the water.
